A Brief travelogue

OK, contrary to the fact, I enjoyed my stay in a remote village in Gujarat. You might even find it difficult to find it on a map. Bhalgam has only 5-6K inhabitants and the mainstay of the village is agriculture (of course) and ‘goshalas’ or cow sheds are very common. The daytime temperatures run very high but the nights are very pleasant and windy.

Now you do want to know how I reached this place. Got down at Botad junc. and took a bus for a place called Amreli (its a district HQ) then took another bus to Bhalgam. The travelling in the heat was killing us. I gulped 2 whole glasses of lime water once I reached the destination.

I will be back with some more anecdotes and pictures of the trip in the future.

Somebody..stop me..!

Although this is something I shouldn’t be mentioning publicly, but I want to. I am going to visit my ‘native place’ in Gujarat for the weekend. It’s something which I don’t want to do but I am being compelled by the powers that be. I can’t stop thinking about the heat and dust of that gujarat village. Thankfully I will be back on Sunday by a Jet Airways flight from Rajkot, phew!! Thats the only cherry on this dirty cake called life.

Mumbai Metro & Some Good News

Sorry for my long absence from bloggin. I am back for the time being though, to share some news with you.

I heard in Indian Express that the Mumbai Metro has been finally been cleared by the State Government and the first train might start running in 2013! For those of you who travel by the locals in this sweltering heat, might know what it is all about. But looking at the way the govenrments have behaved with our sentiments, I might just control my happiness and sit and watch.

BLACK Rocks!!

I wanted to see BLACK and I went for the show today and I was absolutely stunned by the treatment of the movie. Finally Indian cinema comes out age and does something really astounding. BLACK signifies a glorious moment of Hindi Cinema, a new chapter, if I must say. Please go and watch it for good times sake :))

What a day!!

Todays was one of the most eventful days of my life not to mention that it was Ganesh Chaturthi. Later in the day I had a meeting with RanTen and Aadesh regarding the meet, the updates of which I will be posting on Surfunion very soon. Then Aadesh and myself proceeded to the Strand Book Stall Exhition where I bought loads of good stuff ;) In the evening (I was carrying the heavy bag laden with books all the way) Aadesh shopped for his mobile at the NOKIA store and bought a 3120 for himself and we bid goodbye to each other. The evening didn’t end the way I had intended to but nevertheless, I am happy with the turn of the events in my life and career..I am happy for ‘all’:)

Tomorrow aadesh and myself go for the movie BLACK :) More on this later.
