Evergreen Asha

I must have listened to the song ‘Lucky Lips’ (from the movie Lucky – No Time for Love) atleast a dozen times yesterday and you should too. Asha Bhonsle’s undoubtedly the evergreen pop diva. Her rendition of the song and the emotion she brings to the lyrics is simply amazing.

I wish her a long life and more such songs in the future for her fans.

Terribly Upset!!

So the company is rolling out smart cards and everyone is required to get their photographs clicked by the inhouse team. But I did it thrice!!! I somehow can’t understand these so called ‘technical difficulties’ which keep cropping up everytime I go for the shoot.

I received a mail from the head (in charge of rolling out the cards) that I will need to do it once more. On top of it all, the mail was so full of accusations that I wished I could hit that person who wrote it #@$%. The problem with the mail was that it didn’t specify why the photos were being rejected and therefore didn’t allow me the chance to improve. And above all it labelled me as a defaulter!! I am glad it this exercise is over. Just one last thing to say – if there’s a problem this time around, please do not hesitate to throw me out of the office. I am not going back to grin in front of the stupid cam.

SurfUnion is ‘Black’

This is a picture of mine which I like a lot and I don’t hesitate to show it off. It was taken during the First SurfUnion Anniversary Bash by Isaac (Flashkid). Thanks to him :)

I have somehow come to like the colour Black (moreso after SLB’s presentation of the movie BLACK). It’s a colour none other can match or supersede. Its place in the colour spectrum is special and unique.

A Brief travelogue

OK, contrary to the fact, I enjoyed my stay in a remote village in Gujarat. You might even find it difficult to find it on a map. Bhalgam has only 5-6K inhabitants and the mainstay of the village is agriculture (of course) and ‘goshalas’ or cow sheds are very common. The daytime temperatures run very high but the nights are very pleasant and windy.

Now you do want to know how I reached this place. Got down at Botad junc. and took a bus for a place called Amreli (its a district HQ) then took another bus to Bhalgam. The travelling in the heat was killing us. I gulped 2 whole glasses of lime water once I reached the destination.

I will be back with some more anecdotes and pictures of the trip in the future.

Somebody..stop me..!

Although this is something I shouldn’t be mentioning publicly, but I want to. I am going to visit my ‘native place’ in Gujarat for the weekend. It’s something which I don’t want to do but I am being compelled by the powers that be. I can’t stop thinking about the heat and dust of that gujarat village. Thankfully I will be back on Sunday by a Jet Airways flight from Rajkot, phew!! Thats the only cherry on this dirty cake called life.
