July 2002

We went to this buddhist monastery called Ten Thousand Buddhas. We took a bus from Metro City called 10M and got down at the Kwon Tung terminus. From there we took a bus number 89X to Sha Tin, where this monastery is. The monastery has an excalator service to go upi, which is quite amazing. The place is cool and serene and less crowded. I forgot to take an film roll with me and therefore couldn’t take more pictures. We came back to the ShaTin KCR (Kowloon Canton Railway) station, and took a train back to Kowloon Tong. From there we had to interchangefor the Red line MTR to Kwon Tung and took a 10M bus back to Metro City. I sat down writing a mail to some close friends and decided then that I had to log this thing today itself.

My stay in HK has pleasant so far. The people have been very quite and some have been good looking too. They speak broken english and at times it’s difficult to even communicate in the limited vocabulary. But we have managed so far.

Avi gives me directions in the morning and we plan our trip based on his directions. And so as they say it’s very difficult to get lost in HK.
